“Electric vehicle” means any vehicle that operates, either partially or exclusively, on electrical energy from an off-board source, that is stored on-board for motive purpose.

“Electric vehicle charging station” means a parking space located in an on-street or off-street public parking facility owned or controlled by the city that is served by battery charging equipment that is city owned and publicly available that has as its primary purpose the transfer of electric energy to a battery or other energy storage device in an electric vehicle.

“Electric vehicle parking space” means any marked public parking space in an on-street or off-street parking facility owned or controlled by the city that identifies the use of the space to be exclusively for the parking and charging of an electric vehicle. [Ord. 2022-11-028].
