A. Short Title. This provision of this chapter shall be known as the Bellingham business and occupations tax code.

B. Headings. The headings contained in this chapter are for convenience only and shall not be deemed to govern, limit, modify or otherwise affect the scope, meaning or intent of the provisions contained herein in any manner.

C. The former provisions of this chapter, which are being repealed and replaced with the provisions of this new Chapter 6.04 BMC (Ordinance No. 2002-12-105), shall remain in full force and effect until the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter (Ordinance No. 2002-12-105), which is April 1, 2003.
