Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon trial and conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not less than $20.00 nor more than $100.00 or by imprisonment in the city jail for a period not exceeding five days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
