A. All slaughterhouses of every kind and description shall be so protected by wire screens, netting, or cement as to prevent rats from gaining access to the building or buildings thereof, and all holes or openings in the buildings or basement walls shall be thoroughly stopped with cement or other approved material and all food products stored in slaughterhouses shall be kept as to prevent rats or other rodents coming in contact therewith.

B. All slaughterhouses shall have traps of an approved pattern; poison as approved by the health officer, used or baited at least once each week; or periodical extermination by other methods approved by the health officer at least once each week, or at other times as directed by the health officer.
