Any violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is declared to be a misdemeanor and each day or part of a day that such violation continues shall be punishable by a fine in any sum not exceeding $1,000, or by imprisonment for a period not exceeding 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
