A. The standards of weights and measures and other apparatus sealed and certified to by Superintendent of Weights and Measures of the state of Washington and furnished by him to the city, and such standards of weights and measures in addition thereto or renewal thereof as he may certify and furnish to the city from time to time, all under and pursuant to Chapter 52 of the Session Laws of 1913 of the state of Washington, are adopted and designated as the standards of weights and measures for the city.

B. All weights, measures, scales, scale beams, patent balances, steelyards, automatic or computing scales, or other instrument or device for weighing or measuring by which any merchandise, commodity, or thing is bought or sold by weight or measure or offered or exposed for sale shall conform to the standards prescribed in this chapter. Any weight, measure, scale, scale beam, patent balance, steelyard, automatic or computing scale, or other instrument or device for weighing or measuring in the city which does not conform to such standard is declared to be a false weight or measure.
